I write about the business of fashion and how the incentives of late-stage capitalism shape what brands do—and what we end up doing in response. Got a closet full of clothes and still nothing to wear? It’s not just you. It’s the outcome of a system built on newer, faster, and (inevitably) cheaper.

And yes, sometimes I do still buy the shoes.

Who’s speaking?

I’m

. I worked inside fashion long enough to understand how it works—and I’ve been outside just long enough to start questioning everything.

Now I’m the co-founder of Indyx, where I spend my days building tools that make your closet your favorite place to shop. At night, Brand Panic is where we work through the questions that led me there: why the current business model of fashion keeps us buying but never satisfied, and what needs to change if we all want something better.

Also writing at

: a Substack from the team at about building better tools for getting dressed. It’s part product updates, part behind-the-scenes thinking, and part personal style in the real world.

I break down the business of fashion, unpacking how the incentives of late-stage capitalism push us all towards more, faster, cheaper. I especially like it when the brands are panicking.
